Edible apple has an article circulating dig currently that claims that the economic analyst Charlie Wolf is far off when he says that there is a good chance for $99 iPhones. Edible gives the reasoning that for starters iPhones profit margin is much smaller then Wolf implys. The only reason the cost of the iPhone is at the lower price it is, is because of the AT&T subsidy they pay to Apple for the plans the iPhone brings in. If the phone were to lower, Apple would have to make a lower profit margin, and Apple is infamous for holding a tight belt on there margins. Apps you should have in your car
Tuesday, October 28th, 2008
Maybe you’re into hypermiling, or maybe you’re just looking to see if your car needs a tune up, but if you’re looking for an app to track fuel consumption and efficiency, then I really like AccuFuel. The interface is simple and doesn’t get in the way of entering information quickly. AccuFuel produces graphs of your fuel efficiency over time for multiple vehicles.Care Care gives you a way to track service expenses on multiple vehicles. The tracking reports might be too simple for some, but the fuel consumption tracking features that are also included might make it a good buy for the person looking for an app that will do both.
Charlie Wolf predicts $99 iPhone 3g
Tuesday, October 28th, 2008
The marketing analyst Mr. Wolf is at it again with his predictions. The man claims that it is very possible and would be very smart for apple to move its 8 GB iPhone 3g down to an affordable $199. He reminds us that the Razr did still technically outsell the iPhone 3g this past summer. The logic is that even with this price drop, there would of course be a jump and sales and still carry a hefty 42% profit margin. Damn Apple.. Greedy much? Charlie goes on to say that he believes the sales would go between triple or quadruple sales! That is INSANE. Either way Charlie we hope you are right not this one. Keep making your educated guesses and we will keep getting excited about it.

Macbook Pro brick
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008
Macbook Pro brick is really a Brick as described. A single piece of steel body weighing only a quarter of a lb! Chasis is a thing of beauty. And for the price it better be. Sure it has new innovative features and a practically indestructible body. But the rumores of a $899 Macbook could not be more wrong. The Macbook costing your pockets a hefty $1799. Then the big brother MacBook Pro costing a whoping $2499. These Laptops are no joke. They are definetly not economy Macbook Pro price. We are still optimist though, Im sure its in the woodwords and we will see $900 Macbook Pro.

Kevin Rose says new MacBook will have Blu-Ray
Monday, October 13th, 2008
Kevin Rose has made an announcement live on Diggnation about Blu-Ray coming in the new laptops. Here it is the original report from Edible Apple for your viewing pleasure.
Rumors of Blu-Ray coming to the Mac stretch back to 2006, but especially picked up steam after HD-DVD was put to rest. With the MacBook line in desperate need of a refresh, this could very well be an interesting point of interest at next Tuesday’s media event.
At the live Diggnation that was just held in London as part of the “Future of Web Apps†Expo, Kevin Rose enlightened us with yet another juicy rumor. He claimed that the new and yet to be announced MacBooks will support Blu-Ray drives. Rose was spot on in his iPod/iTunes predictions for the recent “Let’s Rock!†Apple event, and we’ll find out on Tuesday if Rose can go 2 for 2. Rose, however, did qualify his prediction by saying that his source for the Blue-Ray rumor was not nearly as good as his source for the iPod nano and iTunes updates.
