Seems more and more like the rumors of a new iPhone emerging around the corner are coming true. Apple has cornered the flash memory market by buying out 100 million 8GB flash chips. Half this amount of orders were ordered last year in preperation for the 3g release.  This news has been confirmed by DigiTimes so we dont doubt the validity of this news. Now if you are wondering why it is only 8GB chips and not 16 or 32 like many were expecting, that is because manufactures do the combining into larger 16gb, 32gb and so on. The orders are just at 8gb size. Looking forward to WWDC.

Apple has taken responsibility for known hairline cracks in the White Macbooks. This was passed to resellers letting them know of the issue and to cover  Macbooks even out of warranty. Hopefully Apple will start taking responsibility for other known Macbook issues such as the overheating on the new Macbooks and not make it seem like the consumers fault which I know from first hand customer support.

Funny man- Jimmy Kimmel has reported that Zack Efron has turned down the part in the new “Foot Loose” remake. He than goes on to say that Steve Wozniak will be taking Efrons place in the new musical.

This is the data table created by Piper Jaffray’s 17th bi-annual teen survey. What it shows basically is Apple has killed the competition in the MP3 market. The most amazing number is the 0% percent of consumers planning to buy a mp3 player not made by Apple. A complete blowout! Now the number that shows that iPods dont have to much growth in the NEAR future. 86% of the survey takers already have an iPod/iPhone, 6% have competitor players  making a combined 92%  of teens ALREADY HAVE a MP3 player.  Than you look at the numbers of people that are willing to spend money in the next 12 months. Not to good.. Who knows. Maybe it will be a different scenario in a year and a few months. But for the time being it seems apple has pulverised the market to make sure there is a Apple media player in every hand.

About time! After only having the choice of AIM for your instant messaging needs on the iPhone, and iPod Touch, we finally get Yahoo Messenger App. I suppose the one good thing about the wait is that Yahoo came out with a really quality app and at the great price of FREE! Of course the features include instant messaging, but you can also share photos instantly, stealth your availability, use custom away messages. You can even archive old conversations. One of the great new features is that if you go to check on something else you will still have it running away mode in the background so you can still receive messages!
