DropBox App simplified my life and its FREE
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009
Dropbox is a company that wants to simplify your life. What they do for you is you put all your files in one location online. Than, no matter what computer or iPhone you are on, you can access these files. The big feature though is if you have it synced up on your computers than it will sync all computer files seamlessly.
This is basically the same as setting up IMAP on your email accounts on different computers.
So if I update my document on Computer A, Computer B, and C update also the next time I login to it. Now this brings us to the release of the DropBox App that has just released. As you can see on the left in the screenshot it has a clean interface that is easy to use and it does update smoothly. Amazingly enough this App is free.
The only thing that will cost you is if you want to upgrade to have control of more memory space. The first 2 GB are free, the next plan up is $9.99 a month for 50 GB (not bad). Third tier plan is $19.99 for 100 GB. This really works out for me as I am constantly working between a Work computer, a home computer, and my iPhone of course and with this App, my file access is now everywhere.

5 Features the iPhone is STILL missing Apple
Tuesday, September 29th, 2009
Apple, I know we can seem like a bunch of ingrate fanboys with infinite requests for improvement at times, but we’re keeping you on your toes. I don’t think we are asking for to much here. These are all features that have been implemented by hacks on the iPhone or by competitors and for that there is no excuse. If there is a good one, why not let it be known to the public or your followers at least.
Multi-tasking
Palm users are embarrassing us now. We see the Palm Pre commercials of the robotic looking girl scrolling through ACTIVE apps on her Palm Pre with ease. We hate to admit it to our Palm Pre fanboy friends but we’re jealous. Understandable this would be difficult for the iPhone and iPhone 3G with its limited hardware, but the 3GS has the available tools to do so. Why not give iPhone users another reason to upgrade?

Incredibly great, awesome, smart video
Friday, September 18th, 2009
Here is the highlights of the “It’s only Rock & Roll” show September 9th if you missed it. Okay, not really. Its a funny little clip showing off the voices of Apple using their extensive use of adjectives. Hilarity ensues I assure you.
Google calls Apple a LIAR
Friday, September 18th, 2009
Apples response to the FCC earlier this week:
“Contrary to published reports, Apple has not rejected the Google Voice application, and continues to study it. The application has not been approved…”
So in other words you are saying you have not reviewed it YET.
Well google says otherwise and they have released this confidential PDF to prove it. Other interesting facts have also came out. Such as Phil Schiller himself gave the news on July 7th that they (Apple) were rejecting GoogleVoice to Google’s VP of Engineering and Research Alan Eustace.
Tisk, tisk Apple. I don’t even know what to believe anymore. Did you really cut out the iPod Touch 3G camera to lower the consumers price? Are Macs really not a PC (Personal Computer). Is Steve really not part of an advanced alien race hellbent on taking over the planet with brainwashing iPhones? We may never know.

Case-Mate’s new iPhone wallet case
Friday, September 18th, 2009
The guys over at Case-Mate have just released a new case with a pouch to carry your wallets insides. The company site shows a cool video on how it was designed and better yet how a small film protects the back of the iPhone from scratching.
Can’t say I’m not jealous of their office gadgets but I digress. I myself think the case would make my life much easier when Im out. The less I carry, the more efficient I am to kill at will and run from the police (kidding). My associates make a good point also. If I lose my iPhone I lose EVERYTHING that I hold close to my heart. Except my keys but I guess that is for the next-gen Case-Mate design. Which reminds me, if you are looking for a case to do more than just carry your currency and cards than check out http://mypocketpack.com/ (image below)
Yes that is a flashlight on the top. No more carrying a fanny pack for me!
iPhone 3.1 Reported problems
Friday, September 18th, 2009
It is being reported that many users (mostly iPhone 3G users)have been having issues with the new 3.1 firmware update. Issues such as random restarts, freezing, turning-off and even palm burns. Okay that last one was probably not from the iPhone but you get the point. The issues are intermittent making it hard for developers to track down. Many of the issues were reported during the beta stages, but I guess Apple never got around to fixing them. What say you Apple?
How to speed up your iPhone and Touch with Jailbreaking
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009
Lately I have been hearing complaints from people with older generation iPhone/touchs that they are annoyed with crashing or slow loading times or shortened battery life. Some have even tried to say that it is the Jailbreak software causing the issue. On the contrary, Cydia provides tools that can optimize your iPhone or iPod Touch to run much more smoothly and save battery life at the same time. The app that I will use in this tutorial is called SBSettings. If you have not yet jailbroken your iPhone or Touch and would like to optimize your iPhone or iPod Touch, click here for directions. iPhone 3.1 Jailbreak, Unlock now available from Devteam
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009
Just posted on the Devteam website, they have Jail-broken and unlocked the iPhone 3.1 firmware for all devices except for the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 2G and 3G. Well I’m sure they will be out with 3GS Jailbreak shortly.. I hope. There is a slight trick for 3GS users to jailbreak 3.1 now from Saurik but we would not recommend it as it does not guarantee future stability. For all other iPod/iPhone users.
Here is the link for PwnageTool 3.0 . Read all directions before installing at your own risk!
