Scott Yatur says he unlocked the iPhone!

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Yes, this man Scott Yatur is claiming to have unlocked the iPhone on 05.11.07. The shaky unclear video is below. What is also very interesting about this story is that Scott Yatur gives musclenerd of the devteam and Geohot a 24 hr ultimatum to reply to him or he’s outing the exploit he found. Not sure what the point here is (“noone wants that“)but all this talk makes it sound like the unlock is around the corner. Comments are already starting to roll in of this being a fake but Geohot seems to be already responding if you take a look at ScottYatur @ twitter. (more…)

Wordpress 2.0 App Review

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Wordpress 2 is an improvement over its past version. I was using the Wordpress 1.0 app expecting an update notification to come, which never did. So I went ahead and searched and found out it is a new standalone download. I checked it out and it is a simple app to say the least.  (more…)

Blacksn0w to unlock your iPhone

Friday, October 30th, 2009

If you haven’t heard, GeoH0t is currently in the works for the unlock for iPhone 3.1 Firmware. It may be a minute though before we see any finished project. Here is what he had to say via Twitter.

#blacksn0w is still a ways away…thats just PoC. and I’m kind of burnt out from that

In other notes, he also reported: “eating bagels after watching a nice episode of the office”. Very interesting life Geohot, we will stay tuned- you genius hacker you. Also keep a look out for the Devteam to release an update, and maybe even these flakey fimware crackers- greenpois0n, and sn0wbreeze.

Lala App preview- Coming Soon?

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Well Lala is coming soon. Can’t say I’m happy after hearing that the App will be free for the first song, then 10 cents after??

Pay-per-song is not my foray, but I can’t say I’m not impressed with the ability to play just about any song instantly. Also there has been reports that LALA will also use cache to have faster load times and protect you in case you lose your connection.

With the looming threat of an actual competitor to the iTunes store, there is a possibility of Apple rejecting the app. If so we will here all the anger, and outrage in the next week or so, maybe even another FCC investigation- oh how exciting!

Ten1’s SoundClip: Hands on Review

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Say hello to the SoundClip ($7.99) from TenOne Design. What it does is improve the quality of your external speakers on your iPhone. How does it work? It clips on to your 30 pin dock at the bottom of the phone, and works as a funnel for your audio speakers to shoot toward you instead of wildly out the bottom of your speakers. The improvement in sound quality is said to be from 10dB gain, and between 6kHz and 20kHz says TenOne on its product page. (more…)

Asian Boobs App Denie- wait its Approved?

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

I guess a developer finally found Apples sweat spot. With apps like iBoobs and fart and cursing apps being rejected, I have no idea how this slipped through. I guess Apple likes scantily clad Asian girls. Who what of knew.

Don’t believe us? You can check it out here in the iTunes store here.

The must see FREE new App: Google Maps Navigation

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

This is quite a delightful surprise. Only one day after the rumor of Google Maps Navigation being free but with ads, the app is announced, and is even better than originally rumored! No ads, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

So many features that the competitors did not accomplish that Google nailed right on the head.

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

I love to listen to my iPhone Music Library on my iHome while lounging in the backyard. Enter iSkin’s Cerulean RX ($89.99)- now I can do this wirelessly through my iPhone’s Bluetooth. Life just got easier. (more…)
