Blocks That Matter mixes Boulder Dash, Tetris and Minecraft in one package

By on March 15, 2011

Have you ever wondered what kind of game you’d get if you could mix Boulder Dash, Tetris and Minecraft? If so, Swing Swing Submarine is here to answer that. Their latest game, Blocks That Matter combines the styles of the afforementioned games and we have to say that the end result is quite good. Blocks That Matter is basically a puzzle/platformer and you can get a climpse of it with this video trailer.

“Our intention is exactly the same than the one we had when we created Tuper Tario Tros.: we want to create a unique game experience mixing games elements and mechanics.” said Guillaume Martin and William David, founders of Swing Swing Submarine. “The mash-up concept is a popular genre and that’s something we really like because it allows players to see how games that seem different at first can share the same DNA.”

The game will be released in the middle of April 2011 on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel, and a few weeks later on PC, Mac and Linux!
