Marvel vs Capcom 3 Marvel vs Capcom 3 (MVC3) Gameplay from E3 2010 (Video)

Los Angeles, CA – DasReviews had a hand-on experience with the highly anticipated Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds at E3 2010. Many new features were seen right away, which are nothing like the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and more like Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Button layout is different and tagging system is changed. One cool feature is the new aerial assist attacks, meaning you can tag in your partner mid-air and up to three times, opening the game up to a plethora of combination’s that can be made from this new function. Don’t think this will break the mechanics though as tag attacks can be countered to make your opponent pay for his sneaky diving attacks.

Check out OldSkools playing experience below along with some gameplay towards the end with the new Dante character.

Oregon Trail + Farmville = Frontierville Review, New Zynga Game Hits Facebook

Love it or hate it, Farmville is the most prolific game on the planet. That’s a fact. Capitalizing on it’s success or in response to its hemoraging players, Zynga Games has released a new “ville” game called Frontierville. It’s like Farmville but in the Old West. At first glance, it looks exactly the same as Farmville but the game goes a lot deeper. The main problem with Farmville with short of planting crops and making your landscape look pretty, you couldn’t do anything. Frontierville looks like its trying to change that. The game is a lot deeper and more focus on the social aspects of the game, assuredly to get more private data to sell to advertisers.

You can buy things and plant things and raise things. The game is technically still in beta and the network is buggy. I lost connection numerous times and had my game reverted back a few hours. I’m sure it will get better as they put more work into it but man is it frustrating to come back and find your cabin lying around in unbuilt pieces rather than housing your new things. In fact, it did it just now as I was typing that. If only I could go back in time and get unmarried in real life…

However, it looks like Zynga has some more plans on the horizon. There are signs on the edge of your property named Gold Rush, Oregon Trail and Rattlesnake canyon. We’re aren’t sure what’s coming but we can guarantee you that it will make our girlfriends leave us alone to play some real games.

Check out the game for yourself at http://apps.facebook.com/frontierville/

PS. This game is free.

PPS. It must be stated that the author of this article had to play Frontierville to write this review. Don’t judge him.

PPPS. He might still be playing it. This shit’s addictive.

PPPPS. When you are building a building, the progress bar says ‘Whacking’ and it totally looks like you are whacking off. Hawt.

drakkhen Lost But Not Forgotten: Drakkhen SNES Review

Although there are quite a few gamers out there that have no idea what this game is and will tell you that they have never heard of it, I am at least proud to say I have this game in my Super Nintendo library.

Drakkhen was brought to North America for the SNES in 1991 and it has the distinct honor of being among the first Role Playing Games to have a three-dimensional playing field, and it was done without the use of a 3D engine. Despite the storyline being confusing and somewhat frustrating to follow along with at times, constant random monster encounters (worse than any Final Fantasy game I have ever played), the shadow man killing the player every chance it gets (and you cannot do anything about it), and getting lost in the world, I would still call this game a classic.

It is a game that is hard to find in any video game store these days, although you could find it easily on Ebay along with the other different versions of it that came out in Japan, and for DOS computers. I would personally suggest any gamer who has a Super Nintendo to seek this game out, but be warned that without walkthroughs of any kind, you will spend countless hours trying to figure out what to do or where to go next. The game is that confusing. I will even go on the record as saying that I have been stuck on the same spot on my game for many years, over 10 I think it’s up to now.

Some classic dialogue right there!
