That is the recent prediction of the infamous EEDAR analyst” Jesse Divinich”. He claims Nintendo will be announcing their next handheld (Perhaps the DS2) within the next 8 months. He believes you will have it within your grubby hands in 15 months. He goes on to say that  ” Nintendo’s success in the handheld market is their ability to remove opportunity gaps for competitors to enter”. He goes on to make the example of thier year earlier release of the DS before having to go head to head with the PSP. Another reason for his speculation is because of the growing problem with piracy in the DS community (R4 SDHC we’re talking about you), causing the Developers Ubisoft to scale back in its Nintendo DS development as of recent.

This would be an awesome design, if this photoshopped image above was close to the actual product. Hell, many of the features have been hinted like this in small undertones from President Satoru Iwata in the recent months.

Grettings, gamers!  I know a handful of you out there are Final Fantasy aficionados!  With the release of Final Fantasy XII close at hand, and on both Next-Gen consoles, buzz is at an all-time high.  Rumors are flying, however, after a recent interview by Edge with Yoichi Wada, Square Enix’s President and CEO.

"Whether we are going to continue to internally create this type of game remains to be seen, because I actually feel that the team that was involved with Final Fantasy XIII should next move on to create and generate some ‘next generation’ forms of play."

Could this really mean the end of the Final Fantasy franchise as we know it?  Maybe. Who knows, really?  Speculation is abound.  All I’m saying is that it’s going to be a sad day in RPG gaming when we can no longer look forward to stories about a ragtag bunch of precocious, materia-charged, youngsters with carefully tousled hair.  All I’m saying, too, is that I hope Nobuo Uematsu has another "Friends" concert sometime soon.

Final Fantasy XIII will be available in the US on March 9, 2010.  If you haven’t already done so, you should probably preorder!  Available for Xbox 360 and PS3 .

Hey there, classic gamer! World getting you down? No worries, I’m here with another gameriffic throwback to the good old days! Dark Void Zero. Supposedly originally developed by Capcom for the Nintendo Playchoice-10, this side-scrolling platform definitely has an old-school NES-type feel. Some are likening it to Metroid! Justin Bailey! Dark Void Zero is set to be released on the Nintendo DSiWare network, where you can download straight to your DSi.
