Check out this video of the first gameplay footage from Comic Con 2010 of Street Fighter X Tekken. The crowd utterly freaks out when Chun Li tags in. I swear someone needs to change their pants. The game is expected to release in 2012. Wait, isn’t the world supposed to end in 2012? Is the fanboy’s ultimate wet dream crossover game going to spell disaster for the human race?

On the heels of Comic Con, Capcom has released some new gameplay videos for their hotly anticipated Marvel vs Capcom 3. We got character announcements, gameplay, cinematics and yes, more gameplay. Check em out below!
Capcom has announced a new Mega Man game and although the details are scarce, we can glean a few details from it and make a couple educated guesses. Follow along with the official press release and watch the trailer below.
The release says “Capcom aims to deliver the most creative Mega Man experience yet. In Mega Man Universe, imagination is the star of the game“. Mega Man has never been known for its creativity. Curious. They then go on to say “when fans finally get to see it, I believe they’ll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true“.

Sounds like Capcom got their Mega Man in my Little Big Planet. This is just speculation but it seems like Capcom is going to do a level creating aspect to the Mega Man game. The trailer also features Ryu and the Knight from Ghosts and Goblins fighting bad dudes in some kid’s bed room that has multiple arcade cabinets. Crossover much? Whatever it is, we are really excited (apprehensive) to see what they have up their sleeves. If they can come close to the range of tools that LBP has and they toss in Ryu and other old Capcom characters, we could have a real winner on our hands. We’ll let you know more after Comic Con.

Tis the sport of kings! Can you imagine if the knights of yore had F1 cars instead of horses? Man, I’m getting excited just thinking about it. It would have made history class a lot more entertaining! But enough of the past, let’s look to the future! War. War never changes. Especially when different game companies make the same game over and over. EA’s known for taking other people’s games and making better versions of them but we don’t see that happening with the new Medal of Honor game.
They are obviously trying to take on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare but so far, it falls flat. The graphics don’t look nearly as good and the controls are not as tight. There also were some very noticeable glitches that we can expect to be ironed out. Our favorite was the pure white gun. It looked like some grabbed a can of white gloss paint and went all Gomer Pyle all over the gun. Neat stuff.
The beta comes with two maps: Helmand Valley, a wide open outdoor map with a Bad Company 2 like Conquest mode to it and Kabul: a smaller deathmatch focused map that takes place in a bombed out version of the Afghan city. The maps were well populated with details and felt good in terms of multiplayer. Good enough that I wanted to see other maps they had in store. Once again, the graphics aren’t nice as the other guy on the block but you know, beta dude.
At the offset you get the option of three loadouts with more opportunity to unlock perks, weapons and pets. Just kidding on that last one, EA didn’t take any of our suggestions. You can of course level up the classes and customize them to your liking. That is pretty much required these days for a game to have any sort of long lasting appeal to the masses.
The game itself felt pretty standard. The Medal of Honor series was well known for the historical context of its games. This modern version of warfare doesn’t have the same punch as the previous games. Granted, they have run out of wars from the past so they are working on the current one but if EA wants to make a real splash in the FPS pond, they are going to have to try harder to rock the Call of Duty boat. This game feels like a budget take on it. So far. This is still beta of course. They still have some time to tighten it up so we’ll see. Let’s hope they can add that EA polish they are known for.

Los Angeles, CA – DasReviews had a hand-on experience with the highly anticipated Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds at E3 2010. Many new features were seen right away, which are nothing like the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and more like Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Button layout is different and tagging system is changed. One cool feature is the new aerial assist attacks, meaning you can tag in your partner mid-air and up to three times, opening the game up to a plethora of combination’s that can be made from this new function. Don’t think this will break the mechanics though as tag attacks can be countered to make your opponent pay for his sneaky diving attacks.
