Howdy gamers! News fresh out of GDC! Not to be left behind by the competition, Sony has just announced their entry into the motion control foray – The PlayStation Move.
Essentially it’s a motion control wand that will work in conjunction with the PlayStation Eye to track a player’s movements.
Estimated release date: Fall 2010.
Sony has also announced that it will offer the PlayStation Move in bundle sets with the PlayStation Eye and a yet unnamed game… for under $100. Do the folks at Microsoft’s Project Natal have sound reason to be quaking in their long johns? Only time will tell!

What’s the good word, game fans? By now, I’m sure all of you have heard about the BioShock 2 PC widescreen support fiasco. If you haven’t, well basically the first BioShock caught a lot of flak by taking shortcuts witht their widescreen resolution support. Basically, Instead of giving gamers a wider view of the action, they actually kept the same screen width, but reduced the the view on the top and bottom of the screens to make it look widescreen. Essentially, they letterboxed it. And we all know that letterbox is by far the worst thing ever.
Now, we all assumed that for the sequel, 2k would never pull the same faux pas, right? I mean, it caused such a hoopla last time that there’s no way they’d take a shortcut AGAIN! Right? RIGHT?
Wrong. They totally shipped BioShock 2: Letterbox Edition to all the world’s PC gamers. Might as well have included a large foam #1 hand… with the finger shifted over one, if you know what I mean.
Well, thankfully, the 2K games decided to actually address the problem and have released a patch for all of you widescreen PC gamers out there.
If you haven’t picked up BioShock 2 for Xbox 360 or PS3, yet. You really should!
Hey gamers! I know you’ve all seen the Epic Beard Man video of an older gentleman serving a kiloton of assbeating to a less old gentleman on an Oakland bus. The word is, Epic Beard Man might be so popular that he’s gonna win a spot on the all-powerful Super Street Fighter IV roster. In fact, we’ve got footage right here:
Is this my tip? Cuz you just got SERVED!
Super Street Fighter 4 is coming out soon for Xbox360 and Ps3!
It seems that we had a bit of a problem with our YT account because of some angry hater for our Das Goodness and Dante’s Inferno last week. Therefore we were suspended and could not provide our utmost fans with what they deserve.
So we have put together a new little series called: Das Good, Das Bad and Das Ugly.
This is our foray into Das Reviews current events based on things we love, hate and are completely indifferent to.
Enjoy
Oh, and if you guys/gals want to see the way it was meant to be seen for Dante’s Inferno then Checkout our Das Spoilers Now!
It looks as if Capcom has answered your prayers. We are bringing it to you along with all the noise that Das Reviews like to give. Many SF3 fans were very taken back with the original release of Street Fighter 4 not having their favorite characters like: Ibuki, Dudley and let’s not forget Hokoto!
Well here it is – Ala Street Fighter 3 …but please.. let’s fight like gentlemen!
Here at Das Reviews we cover it all. Das Good, Das Bad and Das Ugly!
Many a times the gaming scene crosses over into the realm of the unknown, spontaneous and sometimes just plain vicious. As unfortunate for Midway as it is (As I always loved Midway, especially the MK series!), it seems as if Mortal Kombat is getting pulled apart by the California courts, big movie houses and now the adamant MK gamer that feels this following real life situation puts into perspective on how no matter what character you choose, if you are a tuned fighting machine…You Will LOSE!
Lets’ watch this classic remake:
And for all that wanted to know exactly WTF this was based on? I have included the original below:
Now there are many lessons to be learned here in both videos! But I will only point out 2!
1 – Mortal Kombat will live on no matter the circumstances!
2 – Don’t Fuck with Old School Vietnam Vets at age 67 that were trained to rip heads off in the jungle and have no time for gangsta shit that carry an Arnold Schwarzenegger pair of sunglasses and a diesel-ass trimmed snow white beard!..nuff said
You heard that right, gamerinos. StarCraft II Beta is live. The folks at Blizzard have sent out the first wave of emails inviting the lucky few to partake in the much hyped beta of their upcoming RTS game.
So, if you’re one of the lucky few (which I’m not a part of… yet), you can start downloading your client over at Battle.net.
At 1.6 GB, it’s gotta be something pretty hefty. I suppose you could run a few heroics while you wait.
So you lucky people that got the OK to download the beta, enjoy! I’ll just sit here and refresh my inbox ever 5 seconds.
Hola, eaters of game-brains! Now, you’ve gotta admit, Zombies are in right now. Well, I guess Vampires are in too, but they’re not very cool vampires. You know what I’m talking about… a certain series that took vampires, sucked out everything cool about vampirism, and replaced it with teen angst crap. Sparkling vampires? What would Bela Lugosi say?
Anyway, Zombies are still cool. Non-Creed or Nickelback Rock and Roll is still cool. Cool + cool = 2cool. By that logic Zombies and with Rock must be way too cool. Enter: “Rock of the Dead”.
Remember The Typing of the Dead? Awesome, right? Now, imagine Typing of the Dead, but instead of the keyboard… wait for it -it’s a Guitar Hero controller.
Epic, right? But I’m not done yet!
Voicing the main character: Neil Patrick Harris. Yes, the unicorned one, himself. Voicing his love interest: Felicia Day, of The Guild, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog fame.
I think this thing just went Legendary. Like Ashbringer legendary.
Look for a very budget conscious ($30-$40) Rock of the Dead to come out around Q3 of 2010!
