It’s official,
Nintendo has officially released an announcement that the new Nintendo portable, the Nintendo 3DS is going to be selling at the new sale price of 169.99.
The new price, from the original launch price of $249.99 is a pretty significant discount. The new sale price of the Nintendo 3DS is slated to start selling at this new discounted price starting Aug. 12.
That basically put the 3DS in a hotspot for the holiday season, really giving the Playstation Vita a run for it’s own portable money. I mean at this price, there is almost absolutely no reason not to get a 3DS even if you already have another version of the DS.
Aside, from the great news of this 3DS sale, you can expect a ferocious line-up of great holiday games.
And for those who are feeling a but left out who just purchase the 3Ds at a higher price can expect Nintendo to pay you guys/gals back with their new “Nintendo Ambassador Program”, which basically is a payback program for jumping on the 3DS game console early. And here’s what you get as of right now for free! Yes, I said Free Nintendo 3DS game downloads:
1: Starting Sept. 1, Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors will be able to download 10 NES™ Virtual Console™ games at no charge and before they are available in the Nintendo eShop to the general public. These games, including Super Mario Bros.™, Donkey Kong Jr.™, Balloon Fight™, Ice Climber™ and The Legend of Zelda™, are slated to become paid downloadable games, but Ambassadors get them early for free. Once the paid versions of the games are posted to the Nintendo eShop later in the year, the updated versions will be available to Ambassadors for download at no cost
2: By the end of 2011, Nintendo will provide Ambassadors with 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. These include games like Yoshi’s Island™: Super Mario™ Advance 3, Mario Kart™: Super Circuit, Metroid™ Fusion, WarioWare™, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong™. These games will be available exclusively to Ambassadors, and Nintendo currently has no plans to make these 10 games available to the general public on the Nintendo 3DS in the future.
How’s that for a payback? Sounds like Nintendo is taking care of their own there! Glad to see that good will towards the consumers that support them. Also don’t forget to see even more 3DS sales with exclusive 3DS bundle packages.
