Late breaking video review of this awesome new handheld.
Classic fandom at it’s best.
I can feel the anxiety from playing classic Nintendo Tetris. Though then, I feel a moment of clarity and realize that I can continue on and play maybe perhaps some Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Then after I get my “Blast Processing” fill, I’ll head back to playing some Super Castlevania 4. Yeah, sounds about right, but how do I do that all at once?
You do it with the new “Retro Duo Portable” 3 in 1 classic gaming handheld. Just announced is the newest invention for the classic gaming community by Retro-Bit. Retro Bit was previously responsible for the famous Retro Duo, though it seems like they have outdone themselves this time.
The new Retro Duo Portable or RD Portable (or if you want to just call it the RDP), you will notice it’s sexy contour design that look built to last. At a time that classic gaming rebounds into a new generation, the RetroDuo Portable is a welcomed addition to the must play classic video games that set the standard.
So what does this RDP do? How does it play? What is the compatibility? Let’s take a look below at some of the latest details:
First it comes in 2 sexy colors, both in the a nice trendy Matte Finish.
The shown earlier red, and of course we can’t forget the color every system has come in at one time or another.
The Black RDP
Out the box the units come fully equipped with the ability to play a slew of the original Super Nintendo Games. It also includes an official “Retroport Adatper” that enables you to play even more original Nintendo Games (we are talking the 8 bit classics here peeps), and if that wasn’t enough, it also has the ability to play original Sega Genesis cartridges via the separately sold “Retrogen Adapter”, that turns this sleek hunk of plastic into a classic gaming monster.
It’s fully strapped with a built-in rechargeable battery and has the ability to use your original Super Nintendo controllers via the included controller adapter shown below.
This little dongle enables you to use the included controllers with the unit, or even step up your classic game and rock the original official Super Nintendo pads.
So there, you have it! Classic gaming goodness at it’s best, so what’s not to love?
What other kind of portable do you think Retro-Bit will make? Or maybe the ability to play all the classic console carts (like Sega Master!)eventually.
Then you’ll be playing with real Portable Power!
For more information on buying the Retro Duo Portable please check the Matte Black RDP & the RDP Matte Red. The slated release of the unit is early February and will MSRP for $89.99. (That’s like $30 per system!…not too shabby!)
