Red Faction: Armageddon Original Soundtrack Announced
Sumthing Else Music Works announced today that they’ll release the soundtrack of Red Faction: Armageddon. As you may have guessed, this soundtrack features the original music score from the sci-fi action video game that is being developed by Volition. Brian Reitzell has written, arranged and sequenced this soundtrack and is scheduled for release on May 31st.
“Brian intended for this to be a ‘record’ in the truest sense – to be its own standalone experience start-to-finish,” said Stephen Hodde, Lead Audio Designer, Red Faction: Armageddon. “He’s spent a lot of time arranging these compositions so that the record presents the game’s content, but also follows its own emotional arc.”
In Red Faction: Armageddon, half a century after the Red Faction resistance freed Mars, the red planet again becomes a battleground. Colonists struggle for survival in the underground mines after the surface is rendered uninhabitable. When Darius Mason, grandson of revolution heroes Alec Mason and Samanya, unknowingly releases a long-dormant evil, Armageddon is unleashed on Mars. As settlements are torn asunder, only Darius and the Red Faction can save mankind. The battle will take them to the core of the storm-blasted planet through ice caves and lava flows until they are face to face against the unspeakable threat. Red Faction: Armageddon is set to explode onto the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC on June 7 and will ship internationally on June 10.
