Microsoft released the much anticipated trailer for Gears Of War 3. This trailer showcases in-game footage from the single player campaign. Black Sabbath fans will also be pleased, as ‘War Pigs’ is featured in this official trailer. Developed by Epic Games, Gears Of War 3 will be released on September 20th, exclusively on X360. GRIP Joins Unreal Engine 3 Integrated Partners Program
According to a press release we got today, GRIP has joined Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 Integrated Partners Program. This means that developers that license the latest version of Unreal Engine 3 will have access to Grip’s Digital Extra System (DES). Digital Extra System is basically an AI software module. Recruit Your Friends for the “Gears of War 3” Beta and “Never Fight Alone” Starting 8 May
Epic Games invites you to recruit your friends for duty when the “Never Fight Alone” beta phase for “Gears of War 3” kicks off on 8 May. If you’ve played any game in the beta, you will receive a “buddy token” to share with a friend on Xbox LIVE. This token will give them access to the “Gears of War 3” beta. The buddy tokens will be distributed via e-mail starting 8 May, the same date the beta begins. This will give beta participants and their friends a full week to enjoy the multiplayer mayhem together. There is no denying that CryEngine 3 is a remarkable game-engine. It’s also a fact that it supports some pretty interesting features, like GI, sub-surface scattering and movie quality camera effects. But we have to wonder what was Cevat Yerli thinking when he tried to compare it with the latest, next-generation version of Unreal 3 engine.
