Company Of Heroes Online cancelled
The rumors were true after all. THQ announced today that the real time strategy MMO, Company Of Heroes Online, has been canned. As way of an explanation, THQ said it had “reevaluated its strategy of adapting certain Western content for free-to-play online games in Asian markets.”. We have to say that this cancellation was to be expected, given the fact that the game demanded a lot of cash for small items and weapons, even for your bullets.
Company of Heroes Online was developed by the Canadian studio Relic Entertainment and went into its beta phase on 2nd September, but that’s as far as it will go. It was intended as a massively multiplayer spin-off of the successful 2006 PC strategy title. So, better luck next time Relic and THQ!
