Mortal Kombat Skarlet DLC Revealed
NetherRealm Studios revealed the first DLC content for Mortal Kombat that will be released in the next few weeks. Additionally, Ed Boon told G4TV that there will be a patch that will addresses the balancing issues of the game. Kombatants can also expect some free stuff that will be released along with the Skarlet DLC.
In case you’re wondering, Skarlet was a red female ninja that resembled Kitana, back in the Mortal Kombat 2 days. Although she was rumored to be a hidden character, Skarlet was just the result of a coding glitch with Kitana’s sprite. As the latest Mortal Kombat is a tribute to all three classic 2D Mortal Kombat games, NetherRealm felt the need to actually include her in the game’s storyline, thus giving birth to this new DLC.
So is NetherRealm milking a myth or paying a tribute to all die-hard Mortal Kombat fans? You will decide.
