We have been waiting and waiting like always for Nintendo to give us their consistent upgrades to their portable gaming the Nintendo DS with something a little more than just an upgrade this time around.
Nintendo has officially released a date and price to this next level in portable “3D” gaming.
On March 27th Nintendo will release the world’s first “Glasses-Free 3D Gaming System Comes Packed with Features at Suggested Retail Price of $249.99″ – NOA
The launch colors of the 3DS will include Cosmo Black or Aqua Blue, and will have a suggested retail price of $249.99. Pricing outside the United States will be established by the local markets, (so that means according to supply and demand for most!)
In addition to the basic DS style functions on the control pad and button controls found on the previous Nintendo hand-helds, Nintendo 3DS now also includes a Circle Pad, which provides a full 360 degrees of direction, giving it the freedom and precision needed to play games in 3D worlds.
If you guys haven’t seen it, we showcased it at E3 2010 and below you can see what it’s all about!
