PlayStation Network down for seventh day

By on April 27, 2011

We don’t know whether we should laugh or cry with this whole situation. As you may have heard, PSN was attacked by hackers seven days ago and since then, it’s down. This situation has disappointed a lot of PS3 users that can’t enjoy the online mayhem – Mortal Kombat fans, we feel you. Yeah, it sucks. And to make things worse, Sony admitted that some PSN users’ personal information – potentially including credit card details – has been stolen.

Although we don’t know when the service will be back only as Sony didn’t have an update or timeframe to share regarding the resumption of the service, the latest correspondence with users suggests it may be up and running again “within  a week”.

Will gamers trust Sony again, after this dreadful situation? Not providing a service is one thing but getting your credit card details stolen from your account is another, entirely different thing.

Let’s just hope that Sony will figure out ways to fix this mess!
