More ‘Alan’ Wake is coming but not Alan Wake 2
Eurogamer posted an interesting interview today with Remedy’s head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen, in which the Finnish developer confirms that more more [Alan] Wake is coming but it won’t be the sequel to the underrated action horror game, Alan Wake.
“Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC,” Remedy’s head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen told to Eurogamer.
The rest details will be unveiled on Remedy’s official announcement. According to Oskari, a media footage will also be included in that announcement, so we might get that announcement during this year’s E3.
“We can’t wait to show you more, bear with us. Release dates, platforms and pricing are unconfirmed as of yet, but Fall 2011 is probably a good guess.” added Hakkinen. Which is really weird to say the least. Alan Wake was an X360 exclusive title so we wonder why Hakkinen specifically said ‘platforms’ during his interview. Could this mean that this new adventure of [Alan] Wake hits PC or PS3?
Stay tuned for more.
