Atari Flashback 3 – More Atari Goodness Coming to a Store Near You?

As you know I try as hard as possible to keep those “old school gamers” as informed as possible in regards to anything classic or new that really is just a classic repack. (Because older is better..for my wine and games anyways!)

 

So the latest from the classic games forefront is the Atari Flashback 3.

Yes, it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen more of this Atari repackaged goodness. The unit is rumored to include the ability to play “downloaded games” via a writable media as well as upload capabilities to boot.

Now I can’t really give you more details than this currently due to the fact that my sources would make me disappear like Jimmy Hoffa but I can guarantee you IT IS in the works for the US Market.

 

Alongside this cool Atari Retro product is a USB Atari 2600 joystick controller that will be plug and play. So for all of those classic PC gamers who picked up the NES USB controller and original Nintendo USB Controller Adapter here is another one to add to your cool controller collection.

    Sweet!  A new Flashback system. It already sounds better than those early models they put out. Atari prolly wants to atone for their past mistakes.
