Retro Duo for when you’re feeling nostalgic.
The SNES and the NES consoles definitely go down in history as among the most beloved of video game consoles. Ever think back to the good old days when games were defined more by gameplay than great graphics? While graphics are amazing these days and definitely serve to immerse us in the experience, the core gameplay is what ultimately makes the game stick in our mind and when it comes to pure gameplay, I’m sure every one of us has a couple titles dating back to the old NES/SNES days.
Sometimes we forget that graphics don’t make the game, gameplay does. For those times, here’s the Retro Duo which plays both NES and SNES games. Time to dust off that vintage copy of chrono-trigger or that copy of Turtles in Time you found in that box of all your other elementary school stuff!
The Retro Duo is rather difficult to find in stores but these days the SNES and NES can actually cost quite a bit. At significantly less than most current generation consoles, you can buy Retro Duo for a pretty great bargain online! Thankfully, I haven’t managed to lose all my old SNES games so as I write this, I am looking forward to going home and throwing some barrels in Donkey Kong Country. So grab a couple beers (if you’re 21 or over), sit down in front of the couch and get ready to take a stroll down memory lane. What SNES or NES games are you guys most looking forward to playing?
