Dark Water Studios announced today the German retail release of DogFighter, the next-generation PC game from the Independent Northern Irish game development studio in German-speaking countries.  The special edition of the game features an exclusive aircraft. DogFighter is available throughout German speaking countries now.

The deal, inked with Berlin-based games publisher “Just A Game GmbH”, will see the special edition of DogFighter  made available throughout Europe’s German-speaking territories (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

Don’t expect to be trimming your flaps or checking your oil pressure!” said Sean ‘MooTV’ McCafferty, Design Lead at Dark Water Studios.  “With DogFighter we set out to adrenalise the standard aerial-combat game.  A DogFighter pilot is a thrill seeker, a crack shot; someone that wants the thrill of the hunt with none of the tail-chasing hangups usually found in aerial combat games.”

DogFighter has over 130,000 players and it is great to see the demand for it is growing.  We look forward to seeing the German-speaking countries embrace the full-throttle thrills that DogFighter offers” said Lee Fallon, Head of Business Development.  “At Dark Water Studios we place an emphasis on developing original IP for domestic and international markets.  The fact that we have signed this deal with JAG is a strong show of support that the games we create are what the market wants right now.  This is very encouraging news.
