Nominees Announced for 2009 Video Game Developer’s Choice Awards!
Hail, gamers. Well, looks like this morning nominations were announced for the 2009 Game Developer’s Choice Awards! Looks like Naughty Dog could be the new king of the video game developer hill, with Uncharted 2 being nominated in 7 of the 10 categories – including game of the year.
Other noteworthy nods for 2009:
Ubisoft Montreal for Assassin’s Creed II (4 nominations)
Rocksteady for Batman: Arkham Asylum (3 nominations)
Bioware for Dragon Age: Origins (3 nominations)
PopCap Games for Plants Vs. Zombies
Pretty exciting, I think. I, for one, think that maybe they should jazz up the competition a little more this year. A little real world Batarang vs. Needler action never hurt anyone, right? Come on, you know you’d pay to see that!
Winners will be announced on March 11th, during the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) Award Show.
