Successful launch of Neon Mania – coming soon to Mac

Premier Polish game developer Vivid Games is celebrating the phenomenal launch weekend of its latest universal iOS title Neon Mania, which has shot up the App Store charts with players illuminating more than 3.000.000 neon signs on their touchscreens in just first four days. Furthermore, the company decided to port the game to Mac and will be released on 21st April!

“The response to Neon Mania has been exceptional,” says Vivid Games president Remigiusz Koscielny. “After the huge success we saw with Speedball 2 Evolution, we’re thrilled that Neon Mania has made the same kind of impact just days after its launch. Following such a positive reaction, we’re very excited to announce the first of Neon Mania’s forthcoming updates, which will coincide with the release of the brand new Mac version.”

Neon Mania is a relaxing, addictive title that requires players to trace the shapes on each level, igniting the neon lights and scoring points for accuracy and speed on the touchscreen. Featured immediately by Apple in the US and Japan App Store’s New and Noteworthy section, Neon Mania is rapidly climbing the Paid Apps charts.

In response to this overwhelming reaction by iPhone, iPad and iPod touch gamers around the world, a free Easter update pack featuring 50 new neon levels will be issued on 21st April. Vivid Games is also launching the brand new Mac edition of Neon Mania on the same date, delivering a comprehensive Apple platform gaming experience.

“It’s one of those rare times when we’re not just the creators of a game, but we’re fans of it too,” explains designer Bartosz Biniecki. “Everyone’s still playing it around the office! So we wanted to get the update sent out to Neon Mania’s sky-rocketing fan base-including Mac users-for the Easter holiday, because that’s exactly how we want to spend our time off – playing the new levels!”

This update marks the beginning of Neon Mania’s exciting 2011 release schedule, which will see a variety of themed level packs issued to coincide with holidays such as Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Alongside the level updates, Neon Mania will continue to evolve through a series of additional game modes and new achievements.

Neon Mania is a universal iOS application, and launched on the App Store on 14th April at $0.99 / €0.79 / £0.59 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The update will be delivered to existing users free of charge on 21st April at the same time as the launch of the $2.99 / €2.39 / £1.79 Mac version.
