Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta begins in June 28th
Naughty Dog announced today that the Multiplayer Beta of Uncharted 3 will begin in June 28th. Early access to the beta will have the PlayStation Plus members or those who will purchase Infamous 2. The beta will go freely available on 5th July. You can view the official Multiplayer Trailer that was also released today after the jump!
According to the company, two of their new competitive modes were revealed at a large press event with editors from the US and Europe, along with the perennial favorite Team Deathmatch. One is Three Team Deathmatch, which is a small-team 2 vs. 2 vs. 2 variation on Team Deathmatch. The other is the oft-requested Free For All – with every player out for themselves.
Naughty Dog introduced a new system for playing with friends and creating a team environment and a new character customization. With the ‘Buddy System’ each player will be partnered with a Buddy and will be able to collectively share your successes throughout the match with each other. The Buddy system also allows you to choose to spawn on your Buddy if they are safely out of combat so you can jump into the action together quicker.
On the other hand, both heroes and villains skins will have a hundreds of customizable parts, from accessories to shirts and pants to a deep weapon customization feature. Furthermore, Naught Dog implemented a emblem editor for those players that want to extend the level of customization of their online profile with hundreds of decals, three layers, rotate and scale functions.
The Multiplayer mode also includes Boosters, Kickbacks, Split-screen support, a co-op mode, Social media integration and stereoscopic 3D support.
