2K Sports and Nexon Announce Partnership to Develop and Publish Online Baseball Simulation

2K Sports announced today via a press release their partnership with Nexon Corporation. Nexon will develop a new online baseball simulation game that 2K Sports will publish and will be available to the South Korean market. According to 2K’s president, Christoph Hartmann, Nexon is a pioneer in the online gaming space and their top quality games made them ideal for this partnership.

Christoph Hartmann also said:

“We view this as a great opportunity to deliver an outstanding simulation game to a population that enjoys online gaming and has a passion for baseball. We look forward to reaching new audiences with our authentic simulation titles.”

Hubert Larenaudie, president of Take-Two Asia, added:

“As Korea’s number one spectator sport with nearly six million fans in 2010*, baseball has a massive untapped audience to whom we believe our game will appeal. I’m very pleased about the partnership with Nexon, a company that has remarkable experience in developing and publishing popular online game titles. With the combined expertise of Nexon and Visual Concepts, our goal is to create the best online baseball game in Asia.”
