Crysis 2 DX11 Patch Officially Confirmed

By on April 8, 2011

Well, we knew it was coming. After all, Crytek tweeted it long time ago but it’s now official. According to Crytek’s community manager, the company is preparing a DX11 patch for its latest FPS game. Details will be unveiled later, but we can pretty much be certain of the tessellation implementation. We could also see some lighting improvements and we hope that the tessellation will be also used to get rid of the various LOD issues.

“We would like to announce that there will be a DX11 patch released for Crysis 2.  We are working to get the best out of DX11, so we’ll wait to announce the features until a little closer to release.” said Crytek’s community manager. So there you have it. Stay tuned for more!
