EA’s Syndicate remake features Grand Theft Auto-style gameplay
The original Syndicate was one of the best isometric games we’ve ever seen. Sadly, this won’t be the case with EA’s remake. The new Syndicate game will feature more of a ‘Grand Theft Auto-style’ gameplay. That’s according to Fredrik Wester, CEO of Magicka dev Paradox Interactive, which is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
From what we know so far, the team behind this new Syndicate is Starbreeze. In case you didn’t know, Starbreeze is located in Sweden, not far from Paradox Interactive.
Wester shared some minor information on the neighbouring studio’s remake in his latest interview with Kotaku. And as Wester said, it’s “more like a GTA wannabe than it’s like the original game.”
The remake has been strongly rumoured for a while. Last year, Starbreeze confirmed that it had canned it’s other ‘Jason Bourne’ project to focus on one game.
Will EA reveal this remake in this year’s E3? We think so. Stay tuned for more!
