New technological demo of CryEngine 3
By David Scarpitta on March 6, 2011
Crytek released in GDC2011 a new trailer that demonstrates the capabilities of its new game engine, CryEngine 3 and its editor. It’s amazing what can be done with the editor but we can’t help wondering why we don’t have this quality of graphics in Crysis 2. Yes, Crysis 2 is a multiplatform game but still. If Crytek can’t pull out these visuals then which studio will put more effort to CryEngine 3? The first games that are utilizing Crytek’s latest engine can’t compete visually with Crysis 2, let alone the visuals that are demonstrated in this video. Still, we can only hope that someone will finally push the boundaries. Video after the jump!
