Shift 2: Unleashed SLI Temporary Workaround

By on April 8, 2011

We were really disappointed with Nvidia’s statement about the SLI issues that PC gamers have been experiencing with Slightly Mad Studios’ latest racing sim game, Shift 2: Unleashed. However, SLI gamers can try a temporary workaround that will enable SLI scaling. You should also know that this workaround will introduce some flickering to the textures and various objects. Therefore, if you are annoyed by such glitches, you should avoid it.

As always, you’ll need the Nvidia Inspector tool to adjust Shift 2: Unleashed’s profile. Once you find the game’s profile, change the SLI compatibility bit to: “0x00F00085″. This SLI bit offers great scaling, although it introduces some flickering. Still, it’s a great workaround for the SLI users that want to max out the game’s graphics and maintain smooth framerates.

Enjoy!
