Top 10 Anticipated Games of 2011

We all know that there are a lot of new great games coming out this year. These are my top ten most anticipated games of 2011. I cannot wait to play all of these games and I hope they will live up to my expectations.

10. Batman: Arkham City

Batman Arkham City is a sequel to Batman Arkham Asylum. In this game you will get to play the game in Arkham City with all kinds or thugs and criminals. This game will feature many of the best Batman villains from the series. I think that this game will be a blast and will be a hit like Arkham Asylum was.

9. Homefront

Homefront is a new FPS game from THQ. It looks very interesting to me and makes me wonder if I can compete with top FPS games like Call of Duty or Halo. The story is about North Korea taking over USA and civilian resistance is rising up to stop them. This game is suppose to show the true nature of war and will make you with about the actions you take. I hope that this will introduce a new way to think about and play FPS games.

8. Rage

Rage is another anticipated FPS of this year. This game is made by the same guys that made Doom. The graphics are amazing in this game it is hard to believe that our consoles can run this game. They are using a new engine in Rage to make sure that everything is different, even every rock is different from the other. Rage will change the way we look at FPS games, no question about it.

7. L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire is a new game from Rockstar. This game is set in a corrupted post-World War II L.A. You will be the detective Cole Phelps as you solve murders a move up the ranks. This game will use a new technology that will make each characters facial feature look realistic. I hope that this technology will work well and be featured future games.

6. Dragon Age 2

Dragon Age 2 is another great looking game from BioWare. The graphics look way better that the old Dragon Age. Also with BioWare making this game you know that this will be an in-depth RPG. In this game the story will span for around 10 years and you will have to make the right choices to survive. The games ending will be different depending on the choices that you make so you will want to play this game more than once. Also who would want to play as a knight in a video game?

5. Pokemon Black and White

Pokemon Black & White have been top selling game over in Japan and I can’t wait for them to be over here. These games will include over 150 new Pokemon. Unfortunately none of the old Pokemon will be in this game but you can transfer your old Pokemon to this game for your other Pokemon games. This will be pretty interesting to use all of these new Pokemon throughout the story of this game and I can’t wait to get it.

4. Bulletstorm

Bulletstorm is a game made by Epic Studios which are the creators of Gears of War. This game is another one of those redefining the FPS games. Although from the looks of this game it might be able to do it. I really like the art style of this game and how the game isn’t trying to be serious. This gives the game a more laidback and fun feeling. I cannot wait to kick people off cliffs in this game!

3.   Portal 2

Portal has to be one of the most iconic games in the world. I loved the first game so much that I bought it for the Xbox and PC. This game just never gets old and I cannot wait for the sequel. Portal 2 will be twice as long as the first game and it will have co-op. This game was almost my number one game.

2. Gears of War 3

Why did this game have to get delayed?! I have been dying to play this game ever since I heard about it. My friends and I would play Gears of War 2 until we were almost sick. This game will have all kinds of new gameplay types. You can even play as the Locusts, even tickers! If you have an Xbox then you must buy this game. I cannot recommend it enough. Also don’t even get me started about the story I cannot wait to see how the series ends.

1. Battlefield Bad Company 3

This game probably should not be on the list since we don’t have an official release date yet but I have to mention it. Battlefield 3 might not have a release date yet but I still have a feeling that we might see it this year. I am really excited about this game more than any other game. Battlefield 2 was amazing I do not know how many hours I have sunk into that game. The Battlefield games usually do not have the best story but I hope that changes with this game. Although I know most of my time on this game will be online.
