Black Mesa Possible Release Next Friday

Oh, Black Mesa. If there is one mod that most of us want to play, this must be it. It has been in development for several years and there haven’t been any major updates these past months. Some people thought it was dead. Well, it isn’t. And it seems that this much anticipated mod will finally get released this or next Friday. Now this is mere speculation, although there are some evidents that lead to this day. So take this with a grain of salt.

A new fan site was launched today with a release indication. In order to get access to the release date however, you had to fill in an answer to prove that you are not a bot. By typing this answer, the site redirects you to Rebecca Black’s Friday tune. Now if this was a ‘rick roll’ attempt, it would redirect you to a ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ video. What seems like a joke, might include a hidden message. So there is a possibility that Black Mesa might get released this or next Friday.

There hasn’t been any confirmation yet in the official forums, so it’s a bit fishy whether that was a joke from someone that was frustrated with the whole Black Mesa mess, or if this is indeed a hidden message that hints to a possible release date!
