Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Pushed Back to 2012
According to Ubisoft themselves, the latest part of the Ghost Recon series won’t be released this year. The game’s release date has been pushed back to 2012 and is expected to hit current generation consoles and PC’s in its first quarter at best. Apart from a gameplay footage in last year’s E3, we haven’t seen anything new from Future Soldier.
These are both good and bad news. The bad news is that we won’t get a Ghost Recon game this year. The good news is that Ubisoft might decide to polish the game and make it identical to the previous parts. We can only hope that Ubisoft will stick with its hardcore fanbase and not attempt to appeal to the action or casual crowd. Especially after Operation Flashpoint’s failed attempts to appeal to both these camps.
