Mass Effect 3 Details – deeper RPG elements, expanded skill trees and alternative endings

By on April 8, 2011

Fans of the Mass Effect series, get ready for some breathtaking news. According to GameInformer, the third and final part of the series will have deeper RPG elements, expanded skill trees and alternative endings. Even though Game Informer provides details about which characters return for this final battle, we won’t spoil them for you. It is best to experience this yourself, so let’s see what BioWare will offer us this time.

The company stated that they’ve beefed up the levelling mechanics to offer a greater choice of abilities. Skill trees will be larger, and powers can be evolved several times. Which are great news since the second part was kind of dumbed down compared to the first one. There have also been some tweaks to the weapons systems. All characters can use any weapon, but different classes will have a limited number of weapons slots and only the soldier class will be able to carry all of them at once.

Last but not least, there will be alternative endings. Like Mass Effect 2, the ending you get will depend heavily on the team members
you recruit. Mass Effect 3 is scheduled for release in Holiday 2011 for X360, PC and PS3!
