By on April 5, 2011

Criterion released another patch for the PC version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. This patch will update your game version to 1.04 and features a lot of fixes. Or to be more precise, 30 percent of the game’s known bugs are fixed via this patch. This basically means that 77 percent of the PC issues are fixed. There’s no word on when another patch will arrive to fix the rest. Link and full release notes after the jump!

You can download it from the game’s official site. Here is the change list:

  • Fixed crashes on boot on certain configurations of Windows (including when Windows Speech Recognition is installed)
  • Fixed deadzone issues on Steering Wheels and XInput controllers
  • Fixed black textures in some parts of the world when High Resolution Textures are disabled
  • Fixed crash when a controller is unexpectedly disconnected
  • Fixed crash when loading certain invalid controller configuration files
